Overview: Please read these Terms of Service carefully before purchasing or using Katib. By downloading, accessing, or using Katib, you agree to these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, and Refund Policy.
1. Operator Information & Acceptance
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Luo Lin ("Operator", "we", "us"), governing your use of Katib and its official storefront (https://linrol.eu.org/katib/).

2. License Grant and Pro Lifetime Purchases
- Standard Edition: The standard transcription application is provided under open-source software terms.
- Pro Lifetime License: A one-time purchase provides a perpetual, non-exclusive license to activate Pro features (e.g. multi-channel audio stream splitting, export formats, extended language acoustic models) on up to three (3) personal Mac devices owned or controlled by you.
- Pro Updates: A Pro license includes all future minor and major updates for the life of the product.
- Restrictions: Pro license keys may not be redistributed, resold, leased, or publicly shared.
3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Katib is intended solely as an audio transcription productivity tool for personal and legitimate professional applications (such as note-taking in business meetings, academic lectures, video subtitles, and personal audio review). You agree to adhere to all applicable local wiretapping, consent, and privacy recording laws in your jurisdiction.
4. Prohibited & NSFW Content Policy
Strict Prohibition: Katib strictly prohibits using the software to facilitate illegal surveillance, wiretapping without required party consent, or recording and distributing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), non-consensual pornography, graphic violence, or terrorist propaganda.
5. Payments and 14-Day Refund Policy
- Merchant of Record: Orders are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Creem.io (Creem Technologies Inc.). Creem manages customer billing, currency conversion, and sales tax.
- Refund Policy: We offer a 14-day 100% money-back guarantee. If you experience technical defects preventing normal usage and our team cannot resolve them, email linrolmail@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase for a prompt refund.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Katib is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. While offline neural transcription strives for high recognition accuracy, machine learning inferences may contain transcription inaccuracies. Operator shall not be held liable for any damages resulting from speech transcription errors.
